Robert L. Heintzelman, Sr, 71, of Nescopeck passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Berwick on November 25, 1945, he was a son of the late Harold and Thelma (Slusser) Heintzelman. He attended Berwick High School and served honorably in the US Army. Bob was employed at Dana Corporation until his health began to fail.
Robert was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Berwick. He was an outdoorsman who liked hunting, fishing, and ice fishing. He enjoyed doing yard work, whether it was his own or someone else’s. He like gardening, and was especially known for the tomatoes he grew.
Bob will be greatly missed by his loving wife of nearly 20 years, Elizabeth A. (Brink) Heintzelman; daughters, Paula Fought and husband Bryan, Millville; Brenda Smith and husband James, Texas; son, Robert Heintzelman Jr., Berwick; stepdaughters, Lori Savage and husband Brandon, Stillwater; Geri Quick, Berwick; grandchildren, James, Taylor, Kayla, Rebecca, Jaycie, John, Jacob, Brendan, Lauren and Brandon Jr. He also leaves behind a sister, Elizabeth Mowery and husband Gerald “Buster”, Nescopeck; brothers, Harold Heintzelman and wife Joan, Allentown; Richard Heintzelman and wife Carol, Stillwater; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Ryman and infant sister, Ruthie.
In keeping with Bob’s wishes there will be no services.
