Paula A. Davis, 57, of Berwick passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Berwick on July 26, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Eugenia Mae (Epler) and Luther T. Smith. She was a graduate of Berwick High School. Over the years, Paula was employed at several local businesses including Berwick Weaving, where she was a quality control inspector. Most recently, she worked in the environmental services department at the Gardens at Orangeville.
Paula was a social member of the Mifflin Forest Rangers. She enjoyed reading, especially romance novels and mysteries. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of nearly 40 years, Darwin J. Davis; daughter, Jamie Parks and fiancé Sam Sitler, Nescopeck; grandchildren, Cameron and Tyler Parks; Mya Sitler; Landon Davis; sisters, Deb Nuss, Nescopeck; Linda Hayes and companion Don Lupini, Mifflinville; Cindy Springer and companion Mark Lehman, Berwick; Anne Serdula and husband Andrew, Richmond, VA; Eva Moyer, Mifflinville; Daralyn Long and husband Rick, Manassas, VA; brothers, Keith Smith and wife Lisa, Berwick; James Fox, Berwick; numerous nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Donna Davis and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Darwin J. Davis, Jr in 1980; brother, John Fox; sister, Betsy Henry; nephew, Glenmore Henry; father-in-law, Darwin A. Davis; and brother-in-law, Steven L. Davis.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the family at 1100 North Market Street, Berwick, PA 18603, to help defray her final expenses.
