Jacques J. Cartier, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2017 in West Hazleton.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ on September 18, 1976, he was the son of the late Jacques J. Cartier, Sr and Holly (Stowe) Doone. He was raised and educated in New Jersey, and moved to the area about 20 years ago. He was employed by DBI Services, Hazleton.
Jacques favorite hobby was skydiving. He also enjoyed nature and being outdoors, fishing, camping and grilling. He followed professional football and was a Pittsburg Steelers fan.
He will be greatly missed by his son, Dakota Cartier, Bloomsburg; daughter, Giavanna Cartier, and her mother Nicole, Nescopeck; step-father, James Doone, NJ; sisters, Lindsay Cartier and Misty Cartier; brothers, Dylan Doone; Travis Cartier; and Brett Cartier; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Laurel Cartier.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck to help defray his final expenses.
