Carol L. Sukel, 70, of Berwick passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017, surrounded by her family.
Born in Hazleton on August 14, 1946, she was the only child of the late William and Esther (Mangle) Lapp. She graduated from Hazleton High School in 1964. Carol was currently employed as a teller at First Keystone Community Bank.
Carol was a member of Immaculate Conception B.V.M., St. Mary’s Church, Berwick. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and watching her favorite games shows. Her most cherished time was when she was with her family.
She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of nearly 49 years, John Sukel; daughters, Stacy Reed and husband Eric, Colorado Springs; Tammy Mulherin and husband Jack, Clarks Summit; Kelly Gulvas and husband Jeff, White Haven; and adored grandchildren, Ashley and Riley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 in St Mary’s Church, 1730 Fowler Avenue, Berwick with her pastor, Reverend Francis Tamburro officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Laurel Memorial Park, Hazleton. A viewing will be held on Wednesday morning in the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
