Laune M. Fenstemaker, 72, of Berwick passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 in Mountain View Nursing and Rehab Center, Coal Township.
Born in Berwick on August 7, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Emma Elizabeth (Sassaman) Henry and her husband Milton C. Henry. She was a 1964 graduate of Berwick High School. She was employed as a seamstress at Danskin in York, PA, and after moving to Berwick, worked at several local sewing factories. She was a licensed beautician through Empire Beauty School.
Laune was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Berwick. She enjoyed needlepoint, crewel, and knitting. She loved reading, especially the Bible.
She will be greatly missed by her brothers: Jack Henry, Harrisburg; M. Chuck Henry and wife Karen, Scotch Valley; sister, Valerie Sanute and husband J. “Jake”, Nescopeck; nieces and nephews: Keith and Jen Henry; Kenneth and Kerry Henry; Kristin and Steve Titus; Shannon and Wally Macon; Ian Henry and Sarah DeLong; Korinne Sanute; Nicole Sanute; and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Michelle Henry in 2011.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck with Reverend Christine Kirchner officiating. Interment will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
