Helen C. (Hunsinger) Kubitsky, 91, of Hazleton passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at St. Luke’s Manor, Hazleton.
Born on June 11, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Walton E and Faye E (Fisher) Hunsinger. She was born and raised in Columbia County between Mifflin and Mainville, and resided there with her husband the late Thomas Kubitsky, whom she married on June 27, 1953. In 1964 they moved with their daughter, Betty Ann Kubitsky, to Hazleton. Helen dedicated her time to providing a loving home for her husband, and daughter. Betty Ann had cerebral palsy, and Helen was a devoted mother and her full-time care giver.
Helen was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Mifflinville for over 40 years.
She was the last of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas in 1972; daughter, Betty Ann in 1999; a sister, Pearl E. Wehner; brothers, Nevin E Hunsinger; Lester W. Hunsinger; and Carl W. Hinsinger.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; and close friends.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, with her pastor, Reverend Brian Vasey officiating. A procession to Mifflinville Cemetery will follow, where she will be laid to rest with her husband and daughter.
