Bill D. Robinholt

Bill D. Robinholt, 94, of Berwick passed away on Monday, November 2, 2021, at St Thomas Post-Acute and Rehab Center, where he was a patient for the past 6 months.

Born in Berwick on December 6, 1926, he was a son of the late Clyde and Pearl I (Sponenberg) Robinholt. He attended Berwick High School and served honorably in the US Army during WWII. Bill worked at Berwick Shirt Factory for over 40 years until it closed, after which he was employed at Bonham’s, and then retired from Akers Manufacturing.

On June 26, 1948, Bill married the love of his life, Margaret L. (Denn) Robinholt with whom he spent 71 years before she passed on February 22, 2020. They had one son, David B. Robinholt who passed away in 2017.

Bill was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Berwick, and was a former member of the Eagles, Berwick. His greatest achievement was helping many people by donating blood as often as possible, he donated 26 gallons. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He many of their sporting events and had season seats for Berwick Bulldogs football. He enjoyed sitting on his front porch and visiting with his neighbors.

He will be greatly missed by his daughter-in-law, Barbara Robinholt, Nescopeck; granddaughters, Carolyn Superko and husband Jerry; Jill Bottaro and husband Drew; great grandchildren, Brady and Emmy Superko; Brynn Bottaro, all from Nescopeck; sister-in-law, Dora Derr, Nescopeck; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Margaret and son, David, he was preceded in death by sisters, Gertrude Neagley and Charlotte Kanouse; and a brother, James Robinholt.

At the convenience of the family, he will be buried with his wife in St. James Cemetery, Zenith.
