Jerrame J. King, 90, of Berwick passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Longview, TX on March 3, 1931, he was a son of the late Thomas J. and Sadlia (Coleman) Hunt. He was raised and educated in Texas along with his brothers, Henry England and Leon Hunt. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a driver for PST Trucking and later worked, Wise Foods Inc from, 1990 to 2012 when he retired.
“J.J.” was a member of the American Ukrainian Club, Berwick. He liked playing poker at the Silver Bullet. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and liked talking to young people. In his quiet time, he enjoyed watching his favorite TV show, Law and Order SVU.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 32 years, Deborah K. (Weaver) King; children, Terry Weaver Jr, Berwick; Angi Rubendall and husband Michael J., Bloomsburg; James King, Austin, TX; Jamie Gould and husband Eugene, Berwick; Michael Lockard and wife Jaclyn, Bloomsburg; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
Friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life at West End Fire Hall, 1433 Fairview Avenue, Berwick on Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to family or mailed to the funeral home at 633 E Third St, Nescopeck, PA 18635, to help defray his final expenses.
