Yvonne M. Fenstemaker, 86, of Briar Creek Township passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at her home.
Born in Nescopeck on March 14, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Florence A. (Kusa) Santee. She was a graduate of Nescopeck High School. For several years, she was employed at Consolidated Cigar factory and later, she worked at Bercon Packaging. She also helped her husband with bookkeeping for his business, Fenstemaker and Son Well Drilling.
Yvonne was a member of the former Albright United Methodist Church, Nescopeck. She had a passion for bowling and enjoyed league bowling with her husband. Yvonne also liked going on walks with her friends, was an avid reading, and enjoyed doing ceramics for many years. She took several trips out west and went on several cruises with her husband. She loved all the cats that she raised over the years, especially “Max”.
Yvonne will be greatly missed by her husband of 68 years, Jack W. Fenstemaker Sr; children: Jack Fenstemaker Jr, Philadelphia; Richard Fenstemaker and wife Lisa, Berwick; Brenda Keck and husband Barry, Berwick; JoAnn Sitler, Berwick; and Patric Fenstemaker, Berwick; grandchildren, Candace Fenstemaker; Katelyn Fenstemaker; Amy Akin and husband Will; Michelle Keck and fiancée Denny Corby; Andrew Sitler; Jack Fenstemaker lll; a great grandson, Braiden Sitler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Kristopher Keck; brothers, Larry “Mac” and Jack Santee; sisters, Betty Dietterick and Ann Smith; and an aunt, Ceola “Sis” Dietterick.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Heller Funeral Home, LLC, is assisting her family.
