Bert L. Morzilla, 88, of Berwick passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2022, at Bloomsburg Health Care and Rehab.
Born in Worcester, NY on March 17, 1934, he was the only child of the late Carmen and Carolyn (Holland) Morzilla. He was raised and educated in Worchester, NY. Bert served honorably in the US Marine Corp from 1954 – 1956, during the Korean War. His career began at BerCon where early on he helped develop a machine to convert glass bottles into plastic bottles with the owners, and then followed them to Dyco where he worked until his retirement. In the 1980’s he owned Bennett’s Restaurant, and later opened Auto Lube and Spa in Berwick.
Bert was an avid reader and spent hours at the Berwick Library. He also enjoyed taking long walks. He loved to play golf and watching his son and grandson play the game. He also liked watching tennis. Bert was a former member of Immaculate Conception St. Mary’s Church, Berwick. For about 10 years, he lived in Naples, Florida, and moved back to the area in 2014 to be closer to his children.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bette J. (Sega) Morzilla in 2001; and a son, Thomas J. Morzilla, who died in infancy.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Tara A. Banks, Berwick; son, Michael B. Morzilla and grandson, Ty Charles Morzilla.

At Bert’s request there will be no public services. Heller Funeral Home, LLC is entrusted with arrangements.
