James L. Crowley III, age 61, of Main Township, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in New Jersey on December 14, 1961, he was one of three children born to the late James L. Crowley Jr. and Pauline Shannon. As a child whose father served in the military he moved quite often and was raised and educated in different areas. After settling in the Bloomsburg area, he was employed at Wise Potato Chips, until his health required him to stop.
Jim was a member of Mainville Sportman’s Club. He was previously a firefighter with Friendship Fire Co. & Danville Fire and Rescue, prior to becoming disabled. Jim enjoyed hunting, firearms, and electronic trains. Most of all, he loved his family, kids, grandson, and his dog Shadow.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Barbara J. (Kriner) Crowley; sons, Curtis Crowley and James Crowley; daughters, Nicole Crowley; Nancy Crowley and companion Troy Pyfrom; and grandson, River Crowley.
At his family’s request there will be no public services.
