Brice C. Conklin
Brice C. Conklin, age 88, of Hollenback Township, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Born in Harding on September 30, 1934, he was a son of the late A. Kenneth and Minnie E. (Swartwood) Conklin. He attended West Pittston High School. He bought cows in 1971 for his own dairy farm and ran that until 1982. He was also the herd manager for other farms in New Jersey, including Four Oaks Farms.
Brice was a member of Pine Street Baptist Church, Berwick. As a follower of Jesus Christ, Brice achieved the highest honor to be expected, leaving all 5 children, saved and serving 3 local churches. He enjoyed working with his son at his excavating company and working on houses. Brice was a “Jack of All Trades”, but farming was his heart.
He will be missed by his sons, Kenneth Conklin and wife Sherry, Berwick; Timothy Conklin and wife Marla, Wapwallopen; Bradley Conklin and wife Denise, Wapwallopen; Mark Conklin, Wapwallopen; daughter, Cindy Jensen and husband Daniel, Wapwallopen; 24 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; and brother, Donald Conklin, FL.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife and love of his life, Romayne D. (Carey) Conklin; granddaughter, Bobbie Jo; great-grandson, Jordan; brothers, Glen Conklin; Wendell Conklin; Clair Conklin; Curtis Conklin; sisters, Mable Brace; Marie Shafer; and Peggy Thomas.
A viewing will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Heller Funeral Home Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E. Third St, Nescopeck.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Living Hope Community Church, 102 Warren Street, Nescopeck. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Harding will be private.
