Joseph T. Lewis III, age 20, of Fern Glen passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023.Born in Springfield, Massachusetts on September 5, 2002.
He was raised in Fern Glen where he attended Valley Elementary and later Hazleton High School. Most recently, Joe was employed at Amcor in Hazleton.
He played basketball while in elementary school and he was a star pitcher for Valley West Little League, his fondness of the sports continued throughout his life. Joey loved his family and spending time with them. He was a loving, kind, and generous person.
He will be greatly missed by his mom, Arnie E. Fritz of Fern Glen; brothers, Nathan Fritz, Mt Carmel; Simon and Jacob James, New York; grandmother, Robyn Mason; and grandfather, Ron Mason; aunts, Jennifer and Sara; uncle, Justin; great aunt, Veda; great uncles, Doug, Bill, Kim and Randi, all from Massachusetts; and best and awesome friend Jacob Jones. He also leaves behind his birth mother, Abby M. Mason.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Faith Assembly, 34 Fox Manor Road, Hazle Township. Family will receive friends from 10:30 until the time of service.
