Terrance L. Manning, 70, of Berwick passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Berwick on May 7, 1951, he was the son of the late Ellen Jane (Husted) and Russel K. Manning Jr. He was a graduate of Berwick High School, class of 1969 and served honorably in the US Navy from 1969 to 1971. He worked at Dana Corporation in Berwick until its closing, and then worked at the plant in Reading, retiring after over 35 years. After retirement, he worked as a greeter at Walmart and later as a security guard at the Bloomsburg Fair.
He was a member of American Legion Post 273, Bloomsburg, and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he loved riding his Harley. He liked taking his Jeep to the truck shows in Bloomsburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Gail L. (Hess) Manning in 2020; son-in-law, David Lutz; and sister, Pamela Slusser.
He will be greatly missed by his daughters: Brenda Lutz, Berwick; Rebecca Hess and companion Joshua Hutton, South Carolina; Autumn Longenberger and husband Ron, Berwick; CaleyAnne Hummel and companion Ralph Konderchek, Espy; son, Kenneth Manning, Berwick; 14 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind sisters, Beverly Felt and husband David, South Carolina; Trudy Shultz and husband Rex, Berwick; brother-in-law, Abe Slusser, Berwick; many nieces and nephews; and extended family.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck is entrusted with arrangements.
